Givenchy GV3, the first bag designed by the fashion house’s first female artistic director, Clare Waight Keller, has been one of this season’s most expected bag releases.
The British designer joined the maison’s team in March 2017, with her directorship encompassing both men’s and women’s ready-to-wear and accessories collections, as well as haute couture collections, childrenswear, sunglasses lines and the brand’s global image.
Her debut bag for Givenchy, the GV3, takes its name from the initials of the Maison’s landmark address on the 3 Avenue George V in Paris.
Sleek and classy, rendered in a mix of leather and suede with vintage-gold hardware, the GV3 flap bag captures Givenchy timeless modern DNA, and despite its apparently petite appearance, the sling bag boasts roomy interior thanks to its ingenious inner structure with three accordion compartments.
“Polished yet practical, paying homage to the past yet embracing today, GV3 embodies the duality that runs through the heart of the house.” – noted the artistic director.
The magnetic double G “kissing” clasp represents the simplified version of the iconic quadruple G logo.
You can transform the versatile purse from shoulder bag or crossbody to evening clutch thanks to its detachable chain and leather shoulder straps.
Each bag is painstakingly hand-assembled with exposed raw seam painted by hand for an impeccable finishing touch.
